  1. Please ensure that all mobile phones are switched off prior to the service beginning.
  2. Advent Reflections continue in the small hall on December 7 at 10am, then coffee.
  3. Members of the congregation who already give to the church by Weekly Freewill Offering scheme are asked to note that their envelopes for 2009 will be available for collection in the Church Vestibule from Sunday December 7. Anyone wishing to commence contributing to the church in this way but who is not yet in the scheme should please contact John Wright on 251574 who will be delighted to provide details.
  4. Greyfriars' Kirk -St Andrew's Day - An Ecumenical Service of Praise and Thanksgiving tonight at 6pm, music by Dumfries Town Band, to be followed by refreshments in the church hall. All welcome.
  5. The 'Buzz' meeting is tomorrow Monday at 2pm in the small hall - 'Ian's Choice' with Ian Kirkpatrick. Everone is welcome.
  6. Guild: a) The Guild meeting is on Tuesday at 7.30pm in the hall - Christmas Delights with Margaret Thomson and Sheena Watson. b) Carol singing at Charnwood on Sunday December 7 at 2pm.
  7. 'Kings at Christmas': Kings have a wide selection of books, music and gifts for Christmas and are holding a 10% off day on Thursday December 4 from 8am-7pm.
  8. Our Christmas Bazaar is on Saturday December 6 from 10am to 12 noon in the hall (proceeds in aid of church funds). Tea/coffee and home baking £1.50. Stalls: Cake & Candy, Crafts, Surplus Gifts (new), Plants, £1, Produce, Books, DVDs, CDs etc. Your donations to the stalls would be greatly welcomed, also baking for the tables. Assistance for setting up and dismantling the hall please; the hall will be open from 6pm to 7pm on Friday December 5.
  9. Christmas Musical Evening in the church at 6.30pm on Sunday December 14, followed by 'Delights' in the hall (£2 individual, £5 family, paid in the hall).
  10. In Touch Carol Singing: Meet at Lochduhar Nursing Home on Wednesday December 17 at 2pm to sing carols to the residents and deliver gifts to our members. Anyone wishing to join us are most welcome, there is a sheet in the vestibule for names. Any transport problems - contact Marie Martin tel. 252554.
  11. On Wednedsay December 17 at 7pm we will be hosting the SANDS service. This is an opportunity to gently remember and celebrate a baby who has died.
