  1. Please ensure that all mobile phones are switched off prior to the service beginning.
  2. Coming soon: Christianity Explored. Starts on Thursday September 11 at 7.30pm in the church halls; this is a great course that helps us to investigate the Christian faith further; all welcome and please encourage a friend or neighbour to come along.
  3. The Lord's Supper will be celebrated at the close of ordinary worship today. The Lord's Table is open to all who love Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
  4. There will be a worship team meeting on Tuesday September 2 at 7pm in the choir area of the church. If you would like to know more about being involved in leading worship in the congregation please come along and/or speak to the minister.
  5. The September coffee morning (proceeds in aid of church funds) is on Saturday September 6, 10am to 12 noon in the hall; usual stalls - sales table, £1, books & CDs etc. Donations to the stalls and baking for the tables would be greatly appreciated, also help for setting up, serving and washing up etc. would be welcomed. Men of the congregation are in charge this month, but ladies some assistance with baking would be lovely! Contact David Matheson on 252042 or Alan Franks on 265989.
  6. The Kirk Session will meet in the church on Tuesday September 9 at 7pm. If anyone would like an item added to the agenda please let Isobel know by noon on Wednesday.
  7. Tearfund Sponsored Walk: Sunday September 7 at 2pm, Mabie Forest - see posters. Sponsor forms available in the vestibule ie for walkers and sponsors.
  8. Blythswood Collection is next Monday, September 8, at Tesco overflow car park 3-4pm for donations. Fliers in the vestibule.
  9. Troqueer Church are organising and performing a Christmas production of 'Dreaming of a Holy Night' which includes 13 new songs from Graham Kendrick. An invitation is extended to all who enjoy singing to join in. Rehearsals are each Saturday from 5-6pm in Troqueer Church hall starting on September 13.   10. 'Frendz' Pregnancy Centre will be providing training for anyone wishing to be involved in the pregnancy crisis centre. Training will be held in Troqueer Church Halls commencing on Saturday September 20 from 10am-4pm.
