- Coming soon: Christianity Explored. Starts on Thursday September 11 at 7.30pm in the church halls; this is a great course that helps us to investigate the Christian faith further; all welcome and please encourage a friend or neighbour to come along.
- The Lord's Supper will be celebrated at the close of ordinary worship on Sunday August 31. The Lord's Table is open to all who love Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
- This is deadline day for items for the September church magazine to be handed in at church - to Marion, and to David - Thursday.
- The 'Buzz' meeting is tomorrow Monday at 2pm in the small hall with Helen Little - Ladies Speakers Club. Everyone is welcome.
- There will be a meeting of the business committee on Tuesday August 26 at 7.30pm in the choir area of the church. If you are unable to attend please ask someone else from your committee to take your place.
- Due to unforseen circumstances the Guild outing to DS Smith Packaging has been cancelled.
- Caerlaverock Church: Friday August 29 7.30 to 11.30pm Scottish old time dance to Jock Borthwick's Band in Barber hall, Glencaple. Tickets £5 includes supper. Contact Margaret Wilson 770228 or Catherine Haining 770444.
- There will be a worship team meeting on Tuesday September 2 at 7pm in the choir area of the church. If you would like to know more about being involved in leading worship in the congregation please come along and/or speak to the minister.
- The September coffee morning (proceeds in aid of church funds) is on Saturday September 6, 10am to 12 noon in the hall; usual stalls - sales table, £1, books and CDs etc. Your donations to the stalls and baking for the tables would be greatly appreciated, also help for setting up, serving and washing up etc. would be welcomed.
- Tearfund Sponsored Walk: Sunday September 7 at 2pm, Mabie Forest - see posters. Sponsor forms available in the vestibule ie for walkers and sponsors.
- Fundraising: quizzes a) Christian Aid: Flowers - 'In a Scottish Country Garden' b) Fairtrade: Relates to Fairtrade products. See posters and quiz sheets in the vestibule.
- Copies of 'The Word for Today' are still available in the vestibule.
