  4. New Abbey Church is holding a garden safari from 2-6pm today, July 20. Tickets, maps and teas at the village hall, entry from Abbey car park. Tickets for the gardens £5, teas £2. This year some of the proceeds go to Christian Aid.
  5. The Gardening Club summer outing to Glensone Walled Garden, Southwick, is on Wednesday July 24. Donation £4 including afternoon tea. Rendezvous at Southwick Church at 2pm prompt thence travel 'en convoi ' to venue. Everyone welcome. Questions? Call 720394.
  6. The August coffee morning (proceeds in aid of church funds) is on Saturday August 2, 10am to 12noon in the hall, usual stalls - sales table, £1, books & CDs etc. Your donations to the stalls and baking for the tables would be greatly appreciated, also help for setting up, serving and washing up etc. would be welcomed.
  7. Strawberry teas on Saturday August 2 from 2.30-4.30pm in the gardens of St John's Church, Lovers Walk. (If wet in the hall). In aid of 'Let the Children Live'. See posters and extract from church magazine.
