'On Sunday afternoon, July 19, a Garden Safari is taking place in and around New Abbey Village in aid of the local church and Christian Aid. There will be 14 gardens open for viewing. An all-inclusive ticket and location map should be collected at the village hall entered from the Abbey car park. There will also be teas and a plant stall at the village hall. The Lord's Supper is celebrated tonight at 6.30pm in church, and in the church hall on Thursday April 30 at 12.15pm, this service is followed by a soup and roll lunch.
The Worship group meeting is on Monday April 27 at 7pm in the Session Room. (Please note the date change.).
The Congregational Board meeting is on Tuesday April 28 at 7.30pm in the hall, representatives from the Church of Scotland are coming to speak to the officebearers about the way forward for our church.
The Gardening Club meet in the hall this Wednesday at 2pm with Duncan Ford - Forest Ranger as speaker. All welcome.
The May coffee morning (proceeds in aid of church funds) is on Saturday May 2 in the hall 10am to 12noon; usual stalls - sales table, £1, books, CDs and videos. Your donations to the stalls and baking for the tables would be greatly appreciated, also help for setting up, serving and washing up etc would be welcomed. The hall will be open from 6 to 7pm on Friday to receive donations and for setting up.
Guild: The Guild outings arranged for Tuesday June 2 are cancelled owing to the Presbyterial Council Songs of Praise now being held on this date. Please note the change of date for the Presbyterial Council Songs of Praise in Dumfries North West Church is now Tuesday June 2 instead of Thursday June 4 at 7.30pm.

The Sunday Sweep: 'The People's Project' is a local initiative designed to help clean up our town and countryside whilst we are walking. It involves working together to pick up litter as we go and put it in the bin. There has been a request made to all the churches in the town that as we come and go to church we work together by tidying our streets of litter.
