St Mary's-Greyfriars'

Daily Bible verse

1"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:1-5 (NIV)

Worship

We extend a warm welcome to visitors with us; we hope to be a welcoming, open congregation. When you come along please feel free to be yourself and join in where you are comfortable. If you'd like to know more about us and our faith, please read further on this website or speak to someone who welcomes you at the church door.

We meet together to worship on Sunday mornings. Our service times are:
Caerlaverock Church: 9.45-10.45am
St Mary's-Greyfriars' Church: 11.30am-12.30pm

Both churches have Sunday Schools. The St Mary's-Greyfriars' Sunday Kids meet in the church hall at 11.15am and join the rest of the church for the first part of the service before returning to the hall to learn and have fun (the adults also learn and can have fun too!). There is a "Wayfarers" group for older young people.

Other services
We meet in the church hall for "service and soup" at 12.15pm on the last Thursday of the month (except July, August and December) and we hold a 2pm service in Charnwood Nursing home on the first Sunday of the month. Everyone is very welcome at these services.
